A Lumsden-area poultry producer has been hit with a heavy fine after a worker was badly injured on the job.
According to the Government of Saskatchewan, Pedigree Poultry Ltd. pleaded guilty to a violation of the province’s occupational health and safety regulations in a Regina courtroom earlier this month. The court fined the company $32,857.14, with a surcharge of $13,142.86 bringing the total payment up to $46,000.
