More than half a kilogram of what’s believed to be cocaine and more than $66,000 in cash was seized by the Regina Police Service’s Drug Unit after a recent investigation in the city.
According to police, a 30-year-old Ontario man is facing charges after the bust.
The man was arrested after police conducted a traffic stop at around 5 p.m. on Jan. 19 in the 100 block of University Park Drive.
Officers subsequently executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Barr Street and seized drugs with an approximate street value of $85,000, cash, multiple cellphones, other items associated with drug trafficking, and several fraudulent identification documents.
The man was charged with two counts of possession of fraudulent documents, and one count each of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
He made his first court appearance on Monday.
