A large donation has the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank well on the way to paying for its emergency sewer problems.
Last week, the organization found out its water and sewer lines had collapsed, and the operations manager said it was going to cost between $25,000 and $30,000 to fix.
A GoFundMe campaign had been started to raise the money. Now, Mosaic Canada has stepped up to help, donating $15,000 toward the repair costs.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the organization had raised close to $20,000 in the online campaign.
The food bank also posted on Wednesday that work had started on repairing the water and sewer lines, and it was figuring out when it would be able to open its doors again.
