A semi driver was badly hurt in a crash that closed Highway 39 near Rouleau on Wednesday.
The RCMP only provided an update on the crash Thursday. In that update, the Mounties said officers in Milestone got a call about the crash north of Rouleau at around 8:10 a.m.
Police determined two semis collided and then eight other vehicles ran into the semis.
“The driver of one of the semis was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature,” the RCMP said in a release. “Other drivers involved were treated on scene for injuries described as non-life-threatening.”
The Milestone RCMP is investigating the crash, which closed the highway for several hours. The Mounties’ release didn’t say if weather or highway conditions were factors in the collision.
