A Saskatchewan police officer threw a wrench into the plans of one driver last Wednesday.
According to the RCMP, an officer with Prince Albert Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan conducted a traffic stop southwest of Shellbrook — and discovered the vehicle didn’t have a steering wheel.
“The driver was using vise grips to guide the vehicle,” according to the Saskatchewan RCMP’s weekly report.
The RCMP said the driver also didn’t have a licence.
The driver was given a ticket as well as a notice to have the vehicle inspected.
“Saskatchewan RCMP reminds drivers they must make sure vehicles are well-maintained and safe to operate,” the Mounties said in a release.
