Things will look a little different at the outdoor farmers’ market this weekend in Regina.
The Saturday market is moving to the REAL District at Confederation Park, and will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Regina Farmers’ Market Executive Director Holly Laird said Saturday is the first outdoor market of the season.
“Definitely a little bit of a nervous energy, but also excitement,” she said. “As soon as we get to outdoor season it’s just such a great time in the year, and you know that spring and summer around the corner.”
She said people shouldn’t have any challenges finding parking at the new location.
“There’s lots of free parking around the REAL District, which is really great for our customers,” said Laird.
“The best place to park would be south of the Brandt Centre or near the Co-operators Centre.”
But, Laird noted, the Wednesday outdoor farmers’ markets will still be downtown, shifting slightly to the southeast side of Pat Fiacco Plaza.
