The cenotaph in Regina’s Victoria Park has once again been vandalized.
The memorial was one of a few downtown locations spray-painted with graffiti Wednesday night, with two sides of the cenotaph vandalized. The writing in white paint on the First World War monument included anti-Israel messages, the phrase “Save Gaza” and a Star of David.
Premier Scott Moe called the spray-painted phrases “disgusting anti-Semitic messages.”
The Regina Cenotaph and other downtown locations have been vandalized.
You may have seen the pictures online but I am not going to repost them and these disgusting anti-Semitic messages.
There is no place for this kind of anti-Semitic hatred in Saskatchewan.

“There is no place for this kind of anti-Semitic hatred in Saskatchewan,” the premier added.
It’s not the first time the cenotaph has been hit with vandalism.
Back in March, the war memorial was painted with vulgar phrases twice in two consecutive days. Previous vandalism to the memorial has included stolen plaques and graffiti.
CJME has reached out to the City of Regina to ask about the plan to remove the latest round of vandalism on the cenotaph, and to the Royal Canadian Legion’s Regina branch for comment.
