A 23-year-old woman is charged with impaired driving causing death after a man was struck at a crosswalk in Regina on Monday afternoon.
The crash happened in front of the Albert Community School at the intersection of Robinson Street and 7th Avenue around 2:25 p.m.
Investigators determined the victim, an adult man, was legally crossing the street at a marked crosswalk in a school zone when a speeding vehicle struck and killed him. The man was pronounced dead by EMS at the scene.
A black SUV with deployed airbags remained at the scene Monday afternoon, and the occupants were taken into custody.
The driver of the vehicle, Shauntae Sunkawasti, faces several charges, including impaired driving causing death.
