8:45 – Saskatchewan’s air went smoky last weekend after Alberta wildfires unexpectedly and suddenly escalated severely. Richard Carr, fire research analyst for the Northern Forestry Centre, Canadian Forest Service, joins Evan to give an update on the wildfire situation across the country and how Canada’s forest fires, generally, will affect Saskatchewan.
9:00 – Bill C-70, An Act Respecting Countering Foreign Intelligence, is federal legislation that has been introduced on the heels of the interim report on the federal inquiry into foreign interference. 10:30 – Government size continues to grow in Canada, as a new study fro the Fraser Institute shows. Jake Fuss, co-author of the study, The Size of Government in Canada in 2022, joins Evan to discuss that growth in governance in every province except Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan.

The Prince Albert woman’s new app, Lend !t, allows users to lend out items they aren’t using and save money by avoiding the purchase of a new item they won’t need long-term. 12:00 – The town of Wolseley is welcoming athletes in just two weeks when it hosts its third annual triathalon. Competitors can choose from three distances to compete in the endurance race, which is also a qualifying event for the Saskatchewan Youth Summer Games.
