Severe thunderstorms could hit southern parts of the province on Wednesday afternoon.
Environment Canada issued severe thunderstorm watches for Regina and large parts of southern Saskatchewan just after 1 p.m., warning that conditions were right for the development of severe storms.

“This afternoon, thunderstorms streaming northeast into the region from Montana will have the potential to produce severe hail and severe wind gusts,” the weather service explained in a statement. “Thunderstorms will (dissipate) this evening.”
Environment Canada said the storms could produce large hail, strong winds or torrential rain.
