A 21-year-old woman from Opaskwayak Cree Nation in Manitoba is dead after a single vehicle rollover on Highway 55, just east of the turn off to Red Earth Cree Nation.
Carrot River RCMP said in a news release on Tuesday that officers were called around 9 a.m. and officers responded immediately along with local a fire crew and paramedics.
The woman was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, and was declared dead at the scene. Police said the woman’s family has been notified.
Carrot River RCMP is continuing to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
