The Saskatchewan Coroners Services has scheduled a public inquest into the death of Nicole Lafontaine will begin in late August.
Lafontaine, 31, fell out of a fifth-floor window at the Regina YWCA on July 22, 2023. She had been staying there for a week.
The police were called around 2:45 a.m. and found Lafontaine injured.
She was taken to the Regina General Hospital where she died of her injuries.
The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is responsible for the investigation of all sudden, unexpected deaths. The purpose of an inquest is to establish who died, when, where and the medical cause and matter of death.
The inquest is set for August 19 to 23 in Regina.
