8:30 – The trial of Chris Barber and Tamara Lich still hasn’t reached a final verdict. After two days of closing arguments this week, Canadian Press reporter, Laura Osman, says it’s not expected to wrap up until likely Friday. She joins Evan to break down the lengthy, delayed trial and offer an update on what’s happening in the courtroom.

9:30 – It’s 2024 and some communities in Saskatchewan still don’t have access to the internet. Jean-Marc Nadeau, CEO of the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA), and Jay Meyer, executive director of the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM) are both part of the Saskatchewan Broadband Action Committee and join Evan to discuss these access problems.
10:00 – Canada and the United States recently reached a negotiation on a Technology Safeguard Agreement. The agreement will benefit Canadian space companies, allowing American launch providers to use their facilities. Steve Matier, CEO of Maritime Launch joins Evan to discuss why the agreement is important to their development of Spaceport Nova Scotia.
10:30 – Regina’s new food hub is officially open. Unlike the large warehouse on Winnipeg Street, the food hub will operate like a grocery store, allowing guests to choose what they need. John Bailey, CEO of the Regina Food Bank, joins Evan to discuss how the new hub is doing in its first week.

11:30 – What goes up, must come down. Pieces of space junk have been found on a farm near Ituna, Saskatchewan. Dr. Samantha Lawler, associate professor of astronomy with the University of Regina, joins Evan to discuss the environmental hazards of the growing number of satellites in orbit.
12:00 – The U16 girls baseball nationals are coming to Saskatoon tomorrow through the weekend. Detective S/Sgt. Corey Lenius with the Saskatoon Police Service is also chairperson for that tournament and joins Evan to talk about the event.
