“Police have been searching for Nkem ever since he failed to appear in court for sentencing on this matter on October 31, 2014,” the police service said in a statement.
“Since that time, officers have received tips from across Canada in regards to Nkem’s whereabouts.”
Police said officers with the Sex Crimes Unit have been following up on tips about Nkem. The investigation has stretched into other Canadian provinces and even to the continent of Africa, where Nkem was born.
“Although those tips have not resulted in the arrest of Nkem, Police continue to encourage anyone with information on the case to please come forward. This investigation remains open,” the police service noted.
Anyone with information that could help police track down Nkem was asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service or to make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
