The death of a 50-year-old woman from Hudson Bay, whose vehicle left Highway 9 and came to a rest at the bottom of an embankment is now being ruled suspicious.
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is now getting involved and is assisting in the investigation with Hudson Bay RCMP, the forensic identification unit, Integrated Collision Analysis, the RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.

According to Hudson Bay RCMP, the incident happened at about 5:40 a.m. on Dec. 5.
The woman was found nearby and declared dead by paramedics at the scene. Police said her family had been notified. A man also received medical care for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Because the investigation is still active, the RCMP could not give any further details other than to tell us more details will be provided as they become available.
