Frost Regina has cancelled its Sunday events because of extreme cold temperatures.
Environment and Climate Change Canada has forecast blowing snow overnight with northwest winds delivering wind chill of up to -36 C on Sunday, which brings a risk of frostbite.
Frost Regina said in a news release on Saturday afternoon that the downtown hub in Victoria Park would be closed on Sunday, and the Ice Tower Burning scheduled for Sunday was to be held at 5:30 p.m. in Victoria Park on Saturday.
