Last summer a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in Waskesiu.
The RCMP started their investigation back in the summer and are now asking the public for help identifying the suspect.
The suspect, a man, approached the woman in a Waskeisu beach washroom on Aug. 31, in the late evening hours.
The woman escaped the attempted sexual assault and “did not report physical injuries to police.”

Suspect description:
- Between 16 to 21-years-old
- Medium complexion
- Straight dark hair which came roughly halfway down his forehead
- Described as an Asian man
- Small build, roughly 5’5” to 5’7” tall
Police said, “He was wearing black Crocs, grey socks, baggy black jeans or cargo pants, a woven fabric belt with a silver metal buckle, a light grey or white shirt and an oversize grey zip-up hoodie he was wearing half off his shoulders.”
