Police are searching for a third suspect after a truck was stolen at gunpoint by three masked individuals in Prince Albert earlier this month.
According to a statement from the Saskatchewan RCMP, which was released Tuesday, officers with the Prince Albert Police Service were called to 15th Avenue East just before 1 a.m. on April 12 after getting a report about the theft.

Officers spotted the stolen truck during patrols of the area, but the driver allegedly took off “at a high rate of speed,” and officers did not pursue the vehicle due to concerns about public safety.
Other officers responding to the scene found the injured victim, who was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
“Upon further investigation, PA Police Service officers learned three suspect males and one female were being given ride in a taxi when they allegedly brandished a firearm and ordered the taxi driver to follow the truck to a business in the 2700 block of 15th Avenue East, where the truck was then stolen at gunpoint,” the RCMP explained.
At around 7 a.m. the same day, Mounties in Pelican Narrows got a report about a sighting of the stolen truck, “which was reported to be out of fuel.” Officers found the truck making its way slowly down Highway 135, and attempted a traffic stop.
The driver did stop, the RCMP said, but made several attempts to restart the truck before being boxed in by police vehicles.
“RCMP officers approached the truck, removed and arrested the adult male driver and an adult male passenger,” the Mounties said.
“During the arrest of the driver and passenger, a third male occupant fled into the nearby woods on foot.”
Police seized a gun and stolen credit cards after searching the truck and the two occupants who were arrested.
One of the occupants of the truck, a 21-year-old man from Pelican Narrows, is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime, flight from a peace officer, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and driving while prohibited.
The second man who was in the truck, a 27-year-old man from Prince Albert, is was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of stolen credit cards, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm in a vehicle.
Both men are set to appear in court in Prince Albert early next month.
“Officers searched the surrounding area for the male who fled,” the RCMP said.
“He was not immediately located. Pelican Narrows RCMP are seeking public assistance in identifying this individual.”
Anyone who can help identify the third suspect was asked to contact the RCMP or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
