Residents of Regina will have a new way to get around the city starting on Thursday.
Shared e-scooters will be available to rent again starting on May 1. According to the City of Regina, 2024 saw more than 20,000 people try out the electric scooters at least once, with 174,270 kilometres travelled over 66,236 separate rides.

“Neuron Mobility will be returning in 2025 as the single vendor for the Shared e-Scooter Program, providing 500 e-scooters across Regina,” the city said in a statement.
“Adding e-scooters as a transportation option is one way to help the City of Regina achieve its goal of achieving a renewable, net zero City by 2050.”
The rules for scooter use are the same in 2025, including mandatory helmets and a minimum age of 16 for riders. The scooters are allowed to operate on multi-use paths, bike lanes and roads with a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour or less.
The maximum speed for roads and bike lanes is 24 km/h, and the maximum speed on pathways is set at 15 kilometres km/h.
Passengers are not allowed on e-scooters, and the electric vehicles are not permitted on transit buses.
“Be considerate of others, especially members of the accessibility community by never leaving e-scooters on a sidewalk, pathway or in a bike lane,” the city added.
