Two people are facing charges including witness intimidation after a home invasion in Nipawin that left two people hurt on Wednesday morning.
According to the RCMP, police officers and paramedics were called to a home on 10th Avenue West in the Saskatchewan town at around 3:30 a.m.

“Investigation determined an adult male and an adult female broke into the residence and assaulted two females inside,” the RCMP explained in a statement.
“Both female victims were injured.”
One of the victims was taken to hospital by paramedics with injuries that the RCMP said were not considered life threatening. The other victim suffered “injuries described as serious, but non-life threatening,” and was transported to a Saskatoon hospital by the air ambulance service STARS for treatment.
Later on Wednesday, RCMP officers arrested a man and a women in Nipawin in connection with the break-in.
The RCMP said both the 36-year-old man and 33-year-old woman were charged with aggravated assault, witness intimidation, intimidation of a justice system participant, break and enter, mischief under $5,000, uttering threats and failing to comply with a release order.
Additionally, the man is facing charges of assault and resisting or obstructing a peace officer, while the woman was also charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
They’re both scheduled to appear in Nipawin Provincial Court on Wednesday, the RCMP noted.
