The Blitz podcast: Preseason preview and the players to watch

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will finally get a chance to hit someone in a different-coloured jersey.

Saskatchewan will take on the Blue Bombers in Winnipeg on Saturday for the club’s first preseason game. It’s a chance for players to show what they can do in a game as they battle for spots on the roster.

Nye has been the host of The Green Zone since its inception in 2013 and is respected across Canada for his award-winning work covering and commenting on sports. He grew up in Lumsden, Sask., and has gone from being a fan of the Riders to one of the go-to experts on the club. He hosts the pre- and post-game show with Darrell Davis and Belton Johnson.

Gray grew up in Regina and remembers going to Rider games as a child. Now, he gets a chance to cover the team daily, bringing up-to-the-minute reports and insight from players and coaches from practice as well as pre- and post-game interviews.
