“The victim then went to the business in the 2100 block of 11th Avenue where she reported what had happened to her to security officers.”
Police said a short time later officers spotted two people matching the suspects’ descriptions on Lorne Street.
“The suspects attempted to evade officers but were arrested without incident shortly thereafter,” police said.
The two girls, both 15 years old, are facing charges of robbery. One of them was also charged with obstruction of a peace officer.
The girls are set to appear in Youth Provincial Court on July 10, police said.
