Kristin McElligott’s wallet got a little heavier after her $1,273,757.37 Vault Breaker jackpot win at Ricky’s All Day Grill on Idylwyld Drive in Saskatoon.
Western Canada Lottery Corporation announced the Regina woman’s big win in a news release on Thursday.
McElligott was out with some friends on June 7 when she got lucky.
“I called my friends over to watch me play and before I knew it, five symbols appeared,” she said.
“I screamed and cheered so loud the entire bar heard! A large group of people gathered to congratulate me and everyone was so happy!”

After watching the prize number climb, McElligott said she has a few ideas for how to spend the cash.
“This money will help so much,” she said. “I’d like to buy a car, invest and pay off my student loans.”
She’s also got a few long-term plans.
“I’ve always wanted to travel and buy a home one day,” McElligott said. “This will help!”
She won what’s called a Vault Breaker jackpot awarded by the Saskatchewan VLT program.
