An altercation involving multiple people almost turned deadly in Regina on Saturday.
Police were called to the 1400 block of Kramer Boulevard, near the University of Regina, at around 3:10 a.m. for a report of a vehicle accident that had left people injured.
According to police, during the altercation a vehicle drove into the group, hitting two people before crashing into a tree.
The driver then fled the scene.

One victim was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the other victim suffered minor injuries.
While officers were investigating, a man returned to the scene and identified himself to police. The 18-year-old was arrested without incident and was later charged with attempted murder, dangerous driving, two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and failing to stop after an accident that resulted in bodily harm.
He made his first court appearance on the charges Monday morning.
