Police are now investigating the death of a 35-year-old Regina man as a homicide.
RCMP officers were called to a rural area near Grand Coulee, just west of Regina, on June 10 after getting a report of a deceased person who was later identified as Aron Lunan, a resident of Regina.

The RCMP said Lunan’s death was considered suspicious, and asked anyone who saw or spoke with him between June 9 and 10 to get in touch with police. Lunan was last seen alive in Regina’s North Central neighbourhood.
“Aron is described as approximately 5’3” tall with a slim build. He has brown hair,” the RCMP said in a statement issued last week.
“He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with skulls and grey flames on it, black sweatpants with a praying hand design on them, and a green jacket with a white sticker on the upper left side on the chest.”
On Tuesday, the Regina Police Service said its Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation, as they believe the case originated within the Queen City.
“If anyone has any information at all that could assist in this investigation, they are encouraged to contact the Regina Police Service at 777-6500 (option 9), or they can share information anonymously through Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477),” police said in a statement.
