The week will see events held at a number of different venues around the city, and while the date and location for the award show itself have not yet been confirmed, the association promised “an electrifying night of performances and celebrations.”
“We are thrilled to be bringing the CCMA Awards and Country Music Week back to Saskatoon,” Amy Jeninga, the association’s president, said in a statement.
“Saskatoon is a city that is filled with creativity and heart. Its warm community, thriving music scene, and commitment to the arts make it an ideal home for our 2026 celebration of the best and brightest in Canadian country music.”
“Our city has a deep appreciation for country music and a strong track record of hosting world-class events,” added Mayor Cynthia Block.

“This is an incredible opportunity to showcase Saskatoon’s vibrant arts community, our warm hospitality, and the energy that makes this city such a special place. We can’t wait to roll out the red carpet for Canada’s country music stars and fans.”
More details on the programming for Country Music Week 2026 will be announced at a later date, the association added.
Alana Ross, Saskatchewan’s minister of parks, culture and sport, said the event will offer a chance to showcase Saskatchewan on the national stage, while also bringing “significant economic benefits” to the community.
“Saskatchewan has a strong reputation for hosting successful cultural events on both a national and international stage,” Ross said in a statement.
Next year will mark the second time Country Music Week has been held in Saskatoon. The association noted that the event has received support from the City of Saskatoon, Discover Saskatoon, Saskatoon Destination Marketing Hotels, the provincial government, and the 2026 Host Committee.
