A Prince Albert man has been served a handful of charges after fleeing a traffic stop and hitting another vehicle in the process, according to RCMP.
On Wednesday, a Saskatchewan RCMP Combined Traffic Services officer was conducting patrols in the Prince Albert area.
The officer noticed the driver of an SUV, who was not wearing a seatbelt. They attempted to perform a traffic stop, but as the officer got out of their vehicle, the driver sped off.

Not long after, the Prince Albert Police Service got a report of a collision at 15th Street West and 1st Avenue in the city.
The SUV from the previous traffic stop had hit another vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV fled on foot but was later found and arrested by the Prince Albert Police Service.
It was determined that the 32-year-old man from Prince Albert was prohibited from driving.
He’s been charged with failure to stop for a peace officer, dangerously operating a vehicle, failure to stop after an accident, obstructing a peace officer and driving a vehicle while prohibited.
He appeared in court on Thursday.
