Big River RCMP are investigating the province’s latest fatal collision after a pedestrian was killed on Big River First Nation earlier in the week.
It is the seventh fatal crash in Saskatchewan in the last seven days.

RCMP said in a news release on July 18 that officers first received a report of the collision around 10:40 p.m. on July 16. Officers, along with local EMS, STARS, and Big River First Nation community safety officers, responded.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and has been identified as a 22-year-old woman from Big River First Nation.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene, and no charges have been laid.
Big River RCMP continue to investigate with help of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
On July 11, a 23-year-old man from Fenwood died after his ATV rolled in Odessa. Earlier that same day, a 35-year-old man from Humboldt died in a two-vehicle collision after the SUV he was travelling in was hit by a car moving at a high rate of speed through the town.
On July 14, a 50-year-old man from Prince Albert died on Highway 55 after his car collided with a moose, and just 20 minutes later that same night, a 62-year-old man from Beardy’s and Okemasis’ Cree Nation was killed after being struck by an alleged impaired 18-year-old driver.
A day later, on July 15, a 20-year-old man from Melfort died when his pickup truck collided with a semi on Highway 41, and on July 17, a 44-year-old man from North Battleford was killed after his vehicle rolled on a gravel road in the R.M. of Rosemount.
