An elderly man is in the hospital with “significant injuries” after he was hit by a vehicle.
The Regina Police Service (RPS) put out a release on Thursday saying that it is investigating a collision between a vehicle and the man on Aug. 6, shortly after 5 p.m.
Officers were called to an alley in the 2300 block of Scarth Street, where they found the man lying on the ground.

“The victim was transported to hospital by EMS with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries,” RPS said in a statement.
Initial findings claim that the driver was backing out of a parking stall when they hit the man.
The RPS Investigative Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.
This comes just over a month after a man was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Regina’s Al Ritchie neighbourhood.
