Police stop turns up loaded firearm and bear spray
Two men, ages 35 and 20, are facing several weapons-related charges following a traffic stop on Sunday.
Police said they conducted a traffic stop shortly before 11 p.m. near 21 St. W. and Ave. P S. on a vehicle, “known to be involved in an aggravated assault investigation from earlier in the month,” read the statement.
As officers took the driver into custody, a passenger left the vehicle and tried to take a bag from the back seat with them.
Police officers said that when they took the bag from the passenger, they found a loaded firearm and bear spray inside.
