Rider Nation broke records during the 60th Labour Day Classic at Mosaic Stadium last weekend.
Not only did Mosaic Stadium set a game-day attendance record, with 34,234 fans packing the stands, but the fans also bought enough 50/50 tickets to raise the jackpot to a record $1.48 million. This surpassed the $1.21 million jackpot last year, according to the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation.

âThis result is a testament to the heart of Rider Nation,â said Cindy Fuchs, the foundation’s executive director, said in a statement.
âYour support means more kids can step onto the field, build confidence, and experience the power of playing football. On behalf of the Foundation, I want to thank Rider Nation for showing up in such a big way, and thank our presenting sponsor, ISC, for helping us make an impact to amateur football in our province. Together, we are building something that will last generations.â
In the past year, the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation invested $1.8 million into amateur football, replacing helmets, funding travel for northern teams and supporting the development of safe and inclusive programs for young athletes.
“With Rider Nationâs continued support, this yearâs record-breaking jackpot will ensure even more kids get the chance to play the game we all love,” the foundation added.
