A Saskatoon police officer was sent to hospital for treatment after allegedly being bitten early Monday morning.
Officers responded just after midnight to a report of an intoxicated woman causing property damage and refusing to leave a hotel in the 100 block of Circle Drive North.

Police found the woman, and she was taken into custody for public intoxication.
When officers and the woman arrived at the Saskatoon Police Service Detention, the woman refused to obey the officer’s directions.
“While attempting to place her in a cell, she bit an officer,” said Saskatoon police in a statement.
The 23-year-old woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer.
