He was released from custody on Tuesday afternoon after agreeing to conditions with the Crown.
While appearing in Swift Current Provincial Court on CCTV from a Regina jail, Manz was less vocal than during his previous court appearance without a lawyer.
He assured the court he would abide by conditions put forward by his representative, Daniel Booy, and Crown prosecutor Curtis Wiebe.
Manz has no financial obligation in his release.
He must live at his residence in Richmound and stay within that residence daily from 6 pm to 6 am.
Manz is not to contact, publish any material on, or be within 50 meters of the residences of the RCMP officers and Town of Richmound public officials named in his charges.
He is also not allowed to reference any “natural law” proceedings he may have been involved in against those alleged victims within the confines of the internal processes of Didulo’s group.
Last Friday, Manz claimed he hadn’t directly contacted the people on his no-contact order, but that they had received documents referencing his complaint in the so-called natural law court.
Judge Alan Jacobson did point out Manz would be within his rights to bring any legitimate legal action against those individuals if he so chose.
Manz is also not to have any direct or indirect contact with Didulo.
Wiebe noted that Manz is from Richmound, works, and owns a home there.
That is part of their reasoning why he is allowed to return to the community, while Didulo has been forced to live in Regina and not come within 50 kilometers of Richmound.
The Manz case now moves to the Leader Provincial Court on Sept. 18.
He is charged twice with failing to comply with an undertaking condition, intimidation of four justice system participants, three counts of assault, one count of resisting arrest, one count of mischief for damaging a police radio, one count of uttering a threat, and one count of obstructing an employee of a municipality.
A Saskatchewan Public Health Authority forced the “Kingdom of Canada” to vacate the decommissioned school Manz owns.
Didulo’s group referred to it as their command centre.
Richmound Mayor Brad Miller has mused that the town would like to see that building demolished.
