A 17-year-old boy is facing charges after officers allegedly found drugs and a gun in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Moose Jaw.
According to police, officers stopped the vehicle on Civic Centre Drive shortly after noon on Tuesday. After arresting the boy for breaching a probation order, police searched the vehicle. Inside, police said officers discovered a gun, ammunition, 18.9 grams of cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia.

The firearm appeared to be a sawed-off .22 rifle.
Police said the boy was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and breach of probation, along with “several firearms-related offences.”
He made his first court appearance on Wednesday in Moose Jaw, police said.
The boy cannot be named publicly due to the provisions of Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act.
