A 32-year-old Edmonton man is facing charges after a search by RCMP officers in Swift Current turned up around 255 grams of cocaine.
According to police, Mounties from both Saskatchewan and Alberta executed a search warrant at a home in Swift Current on Tuesday “in relation to an ongoing investigation.”

Along with the cocaine, police said the search turned up “a large sum of cash,” four cell phones, a set of brass knuckles, 18 cartons of unstamped cigarettes and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.
The Mounties said the 32-year-old man was arrested on Central Avenue North in connection with the investigation. He’s now facing charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of unstamped tobacco.
He made his first appearance in Swift Current Provincial Court on Thursday, the RCMP noted.
