The shareholders of North West Terminal Ltd. (NWT) have approved the sale of the company’s grain business to Bunge Canada.
NWT previously announced that it entered into an asset-purchase agreement in September. The sale was approved at a special meeting on Wednesday.

The transaction does not include the sale of NWT’s fermentation and distillation business or its ownership interest in the Alliance Grain Terminal Ltd. in Vancouver, B.C.
NWT will continue to own and operate its fermentation and distillation business once the sale is final.
The purchase will be completed by Oct. 29.
