A Medicine Hat man is facing multiple charges after evading police and driving dangerously in and around Regina, reaching speeds upwards of 170 km/h.
This happened on Oct. 28 at around 9 p.m.
The Regina Police Service Aerial Support Unit (RPS ASU) was made aware of a stolen vehicle speeding along Highway 11 near Lumsden.

RCMP did not pursue the vehicle, as it was travelling dangerously fast. The ASU continued to track it from the sky.
When the vehicle entered the city of Regina, it was travelling at speeds upwards of 100km/h, running red lights and at one point, was driving the wrong way on Albert Street North.
“RPS officers attempted a second traffic stop, but the suspect once again evaded police,” police said in a statement.
Police said the vehicle kept driving southbound, where it continued to drive dangerously, almost causing several accidents.
More officers were called to assist from the ground.
“They used two tire deflation devices in order to immobilize the vehicle,” police said. “Despite a successful first deployment of the device, the driver continued to evade police; however, this time at a much slower speed due to the damage to the tires.”
After the second deployment, parts of the tire began to fall off as it continued to travel south.
At around 10:36 p.m., in the area of College Avenue and Toronto Street, the vehicle finally stopped.
“The suspect driver exited the vehicle and began to run from police. Officers quickly caught up to him but the suspect continued to actively avoid arrest,” the statement read.
A Police Service Dog was used and bit the suspect.
He was taken into custody and taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries from the dog bite.
The 37-year-old man from Medicine Hat is facing a number of charges, including dangerous operations of a vehicle, flight from a peace officer, theft and resisting arrest.
He made his first appearance in court on Wednesday.
