A search of a truck and trailer stopped at a weigh scale near Saskatoon this week revealed a cache of millions of unstamped cigarettes and a large amount of methamphetamine.
Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release on Oct. 31, the truck and trailer was stopped on Oct. 29 around 12:30 p.m. by Saskatchewan Highway Patrol officers at the weigh scale on Highway 16.

RCMP said two Ontario men aged 27 and 45, were arrested after officers found 14 pallets containing about 4.2 million unstamped cigarettes and methamphetamine, weighing approximately 46 kg.
Police said the average dose of methamphetamine is 0.1 grams, which meant the seized boxes contained up to 460,000 individual doses.
The two adult males were taken into RCMP custody.
The men have both been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of unstamped tobacco, transporting tobacco that is not marked in a prescribed manner, and transporting tobacco product that is unstamped.
Both men appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Thursday.

More illegal cigarettes found in Moose Jaw
Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) has also seized approximately 42,000 unstamped cigarettes after a traffic stop and a search warrant of a home, the force said in a news release on Nov. 1.
The two incidents are unrelated, police said.
The traffic stop was on Oct. 20 in the east end of Moose Jaw, MJPS said in the release. Police said that during the stop officers found the driver had a suspended licence, and then a search of the vehicle found of 4,540 illegal unstamped cigarettes.
The driver was charged with possession of unstamped tobacco for the purpose of selling, issued a $2,993.20 ticket for possessing unstamped tobacco, a ticket for driving while suspended, and the vehicle was impounded for 60 days.
Then on Oct. 31, with the assistance of Moose Jaw Housing Authority, MJPS searched a home in the 200 block of High Street East and found 37,364 illegal cigarettes and $12,024.75 in cash.
Police said a man and a woman were arrested and charged with possession of unstamped tobacco for the purpose of selling. The woman was also issued a $22,031.12 ticket for possessing unstamped tobacco.
All three people arrested will appear in Moose Jaw Provincial Court at a future date, police said.
