Police say the death of a 19-year-old man on Saturday morning marks Regina’s 11th homicide investigation of the year.
According to police, officers were called to a home on the 1000 block of 12th Avenue just before 1 a.m.

“Upon arrival, police located a 19 year-old male who was the victim of a gunshot wound,” the police force said in a statement.
“Investigation has determined the death is a result of homicide. The name of the victim will not be released at the request of the family.”
Police said the major crime unit and forensic identification unit were both called in to assist with the investigation, though no further details were released.
