An 86-year-old Yorkton man is dead after being hit by a vehicle in the southeastern Saskatchewan city on Saturday.
Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release on Nov. 16 that officers in the Yorkton detachment were called about the collision on Mayhew Avenue around 5:40 p.m. on Nov. 15, and the driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
Police said the man was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead. His family has been notified.
Yorkton RCMP is investigating with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
