REAL encourages alternate transport to avoid parking woes
The exhibition association encouraged the public to consider alternative transportation in order to avoid potential parking headaches during some big upcoming events.
“Due to increased demand for on-site parking at the REAL District between Saturday, November 22 to Saturday, November 29, 2025, we strongly encourage visitors to explore alternative transportation and parking options,” the organization said in a statement.
“There are several public events happening along with Canadian Western Agribition.”
In addition to Agribition – which starts on Monday and runs until Nov. 29 – the REAL District will play host to the Vanier Cup game at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. as the University of Saskatchewan Huskies will take on the Montreal Carabins.
Meanwhile, the Pat Canadians are set to play games against Tisdale at the Co-operators Centre on Saturday and Sunday.
For visitors attending the Vanier Cup game, access to parking can be found at the Lewvan Drive and Elphinstone entrances, and parking will be available in Lot D, south of the Brandt Centre. But for those aiming to avoid the rush for parking, a Park ‘n Ride Fan Bus will carry fans to the game from the University of Regina. The free bus departs from the Riddell Centre at 11 a.m. and return to the university campus at 4:30 p.m.
On Monday, Agribition will take over the REAL District, and the organization said there are plenty of alternate transportation options that can eliminate the stress of finding a parking spot. Last year, 145,000 people passed through the gates of the farming expo.
The Agribition Express will pick up and drop off trade show guests at the Northgate Mall, Victoria Square Mall and Southland Mall, and public transit is also available.
REAL encouraged guests to make use of rideshare and taxi services, or carpool with friends. Off-site parking is available, but REAL asked visitors to avoid blocking driveways or crosswalks.
For those who need a parking spot at Agribition, REAL said on-site parking access can be found at the Princess Street, Lewvan Drive and Elphinestone Street entrances.
“On-site parking is included with your gate admission but may be limited in Lot B, Lot D, and Lot L,” the organization noted.
