The Saskatchewan RCMP has issued a warrant for the arrest of a 42-year-old Saskatoon man on fraud charges.
The RCMP said officers started investigating Jason Pacik in January of 2024 in relation to a Saskatoon-based timber home and custom structure business called Prairie Timber Group Limited.

Police said Pacik told several victims he was “affiliated with a reputable Canadian timber home-based company in Ontario.” The Mounties said victims signed contracts with the company and paid for various projects.
“Once payments were sent, victims were no longer able to get in contact with the business, never receiving the projects they paid for,” the RCMP said.
RCMP said police are working with victims and external agencies to gather additional information and evidence.
“The investigators have already done an immense amount of work on this file – diligently collecting and sorting through evidence, much of which was financial in nature. Their tenacity has led to these charges being laid – and the potential for justice for the victims of these frauds,” Billy Groenen, an RCMP staff sergeant, said in a statement.
“Their work continues. It’s believed that there may be more victims and that’s why we’ve released the name of the involved business. If you think you may have been a victim, please call your local police of jurisdiction.”
On Nov. 18, police said Pacik was charged with one count of fraud under $5,000 and one count of fraud over $5,000. Police asked the public to report any sightings of Pacik, who was described as five-foot-seven, with green eyes and brown hair.
Police said he may be in the Saskatoon area, but “his current whereabouts are unknown.”
