The Saskatchewan Roughriders continue to sign their draft picks from 2025.
A day after signing University of Saskatchewan Huskie linebacker Seth Hundeby, the team announced his teammate, wide receiver Daniel Wiebe, has also inked a deal with the CFL club.

The Saskatoon product was selected by the Riders in the eighth round (69th overall) of the 2025 Draft.
After attending training camp with the team, Wiebe was sent back to school for his final season of eligibility.
He had his most productive season as a Huskie in 2025, hauling in 78 catches for 1,257 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named the Canada West Football Player of the Year. He also earned his second straight First Team All-Canadian selection.
He helped the Huskies to a 7-1 regular season record. The Huskies beat the University of Regina Rams in the Hardy Cup and then also defeated the Queen’s Golden Gaels in the Mitchell Bowl.
The Huskies ended up losing in the Vanier Cup to the Montreal Carabins 30-16.
He participated in the 2025 CFL Draft Combine, where his shuttle time of 3.95 seconds was the fastest recorded at the national combine since Dylan Hollohan had a 3.89 shuttle in 2012.
Across his five seasons with the Huskies, Wiebe totalled 217 receptions for 3,065 yards and 27 touchdowns, maintaining a career average of 14.1 yards per catch.
Work has started for the Riders, who look to put together their 2026 roster. The team enjoyed a lot of success in 2025, winning the 112th Grey Cup. It was just the fifth time in franchise history that it has won the Grey Cup.
