“Outskirts Music Festival is about bringing back the energy and exceptional moments of Saskatoon’s legendary concerts,” said John Howden, CEO of SaskTel Centre said in a news release announcing the concert.
Howden said planning has been underway for around three months.
“Getting a lineup like this together takes a lot of time, and logistics around the site and the production and the stage and everything that goes into curating a world class music festival,” he said.
“We’re really excited.”
He said he hopes this lineup will set the stage for more major artists to visit Saskatoon.
“I think the credibility of this lineup obviously lends itself to big names paying attention.”
The festival is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. with Brayden King, followed by Wide Mouth Mason at 5 p.m., Cooper Alan at 6:30 p.m., Third Eye Blind at 8 p.m. and Jelly Roll at 10 p.m.
Ongoing updates about the festival including food vendors and site access can be found at outskirtsmusicfest.ca.
