RPS said they watched as the vehicle was driven out of the parking lot of a business in the area and headed north on Albert Street, before they stopped it on Highway 6 near Industrial Drive.
Two occupants were taken into custody, police said, and a search of the vehicle then found a loaded revolver, knives, an axe, a machete and a bat.
A 57-year-old man has been charged with careless storage of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a vehicle, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm obtained through crime, possession of a firearm contrary to a court order and possession of ammunition contrary to a court order.
He appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Monday. Police did not disclose why the man was wanted by police, just that the ensuing charges after the traffic stop were unrelated.
