The Saskatchewan RCMP said officers received a report of an “intoxicated male acting aggressively at a residence” last Thursday.

Police said the report, which came in about 2:45 p.m., indicated a man was inside a crawlspace and “may have a firearm.”
The RCMP said officers went into the crawlspace and found the man in a corner, at which point he allegedly pointed the BB gun at an officer. Police noted the man dropped the BB gun once he was ordered to do so.
Police tasered the man after he allegedly “resisted arrest and tried to escape police custody.”
The RCMP said officers found and seized another pellet gun and two swords from the crawlspace, along with what police called an “assault-style BB gun,” an axe and a large knife from the main residence.
“Multiple children and adults were inside the residence at the time of the incident, none of them reported any physical injuries to police. No officers were injured during this incident,” according to the police force statement.
The 25-year-old Stanley Mission man was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting a police officer, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of possession of weapons contrary to a court order and use of a firearm in the commission of an offence.
He appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court on Friday, police said.
