In that same post, the club announced that Magdanz, who spent four years with the franchise, one as the team’s head coach and three as lead assistant coach, would not have his contract renewed, with Burrow,s who spent two years with the team, not returning due to family reasons.
The search for a new head coach is already underway, with the team foreshadowing a big announcement on Feb. 4.
This comes on the heels of another announcement that the team would not be renewing their contract with General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Barry Rawlyk — just two weeks ago.
Rawlyk had spent seven seasons with the club and served as lead assistant coach during the team’s 2019 championship season.
On top of his departure, the team also dropped “Rattlers” from its name, now referring to itself as the Saskatchewan Professional Basketball Club.
The team was first formed as one of six charter franchises in the Canadian Elite Basketball League in 2018.
