A 45-year-old man has been charged with failing to stop after an accident that resulted in bodily harm after a woman was sent to hospital as a result of being hit while crossing the road in Regina on Thursday.
Regina Police Service (RPS) said in a news release on Feb. 6 that the woman was taken to hospital by paramedics with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries and that the driver had stopped briefly before driving off.

RPS said the collision happened around 12:50 p.m. on Feb. 5 in 2300 block of Quance Street in the Gardiner Park neighbourhood, and further investigation led officers to identify and locate the suspect vehicle parked at a business in the 2200 block of Victoria Avenue, where the driver was arrested around 1:47 p.m.
The man charged is scheduled to make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on March 19.
