What’s open and closed in Regina on Family Day

Happy Family Day. The holiday is observed in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Saskatchewan on the third Monday in February as a regional statutory holiday, and is known as Louis Riel Day in Manitoba, Nova Scotia Heritage Day in Nova Scotia; and Islander Day in Prince Edward Island.

Here’s a list of what’s open and closed in Regina today:

Civic Offices: Closed.

Landfill: Open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Entry gates close at 5:15 p.m.

Waste Collection: Garbage, recycling, food and yard collections will be picked up as per usual schedule.

Regina Transit: Service using the Sunday schedule will be provided.

Paratransit Service: Operating on a holiday schedule from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Parking meters: Pay parking not in effect.

Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery and Regina Cemetery: Office closed. Gates open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
