Shaunavon’s Hunter Brothers are heading to a third straight appearance on Family Feud Canada after defeating fellow Canadian country star Brett Kissel’s family Wednesday night.
Fresh off a $10,000 victory in their debut episode, the Hunter Brothers returned to face Kissel and the Wengznowski family of Flat Lake, Alta., in a matchup featuring two of Canada’s best-known country music acts.

Much like Tuesday’s episode, the Hunters trailed through most of the gameplay rounds before breaking through in the triple-points round, Oldie But a Goodie. The brothers collected 231 points thanks to Brock’s answer of music and Dustin’s response of movies.
With neither family reaching the required 300 points, the game moved to sudden death, where Dustin Hunter delivered again. Host Gerry Dee asked contestants to name a hockey-related word beginning with the letter P, and Hunter quickly answered “puck,” earning 77 of 100 survey points to secure the win.
Ty and J.J. Hunter once again represented the family in the Fast Money round. Ty posted 108 points on his five answers, but J.J. brought the total to 175, just shy of the 200 points needed to claim another $10,000 prize.
The episode also offered viewers a glimpse into the brothers’ off-stage lives, including Ty Hunter admitting he has misplaced his passport three times, once leaving it on a flight to Ottawa and discovering it missing only when preparing to travel to Wisconsin for another performance the next day.
The Hunter Brothers will make their final appearance Thursday night, as contestants are limited to three episodes.
